Automation

Scheduling exports and imports

Put a job on repeat and have the file delivered by email, FTP/SFTP, Amazon S3 or Google Drive.

Anything you can run once, you can schedule. A schedule keeps the same data types, filters and columns as the job you built by hand.

Frequencies

  • Hourly
  • Daily at a chosen time
  • Weekly on chosen days
  • Monthly on a chosen date

Delivery destinations

  • Email — the file arrives as an attachment, or as a link when it's large.
  • FTP / SFTP — dropped into a folder on your server.
  • Amazon S3 — written to a bucket with your keys.
  • Google Drive — saved to a folder you pick, after connecting your Google account.
  • Google Sheets — written as a live sheet rather than a file.

Time zones

Schedules run in the time zone set in Settings. Change it there and every schedule follows — you don't have to re-time each job.

Watching runs

Each run gets its own entry under Activity with its own progress, file and results workbook. A failed run doesn't stop the schedule; the next one goes ahead.

Common setup: a nightly Products export to Google Drive as a rolling backup, and a weekly Orders export to S3 for your accountant.
