Importing

Bulk-updating products, prices and inventory

The export → edit → import loop for changing thousands of records at once.

Bulk updates are the reason most merchants install the app. The pattern is always the same: export what you want to change, change it in a spreadsheet, import it back.

A price change across a vendor

  1. Export Products, filtered to the vendor, with just the Handle, Title and Price columns.
  2. In the spreadsheet, add a column with your new price — for example =ROUND(C2*0.9, 2) for a 10% cut.
  3. Paste the calculated values over the Price column as values, not formulas.
  4. Delete the Title column — you didn't change it.
  5. Import the file. The preview shows the number of products that will be updated.

Adding a tag to a selection

Tags are replaced, not appended, so export the current Tags column, add your new tag to the end of each cell, and import. Keeping the existing tags in the file is what preserves them.

Inventory

Inventory is per location. Export Inventory, edit the quantity for the location you're changing, and import. Leave other locations out of the file and they're untouched.

If a run goes wrong, the results file lists exactly which rows changed. Combined with a pre-change export, that's your undo: re-import the original file.
